I played with this image on Picnik.com. It's called "Night Fairies," by Hans Zatzka. I've never heard of him, but this picture is so pretty, I wanted to share!Notice that despite the beauty, there's just a touch of malice in their joy?
Or is it just me?

There was a hint of malice, once you think about it.
Well, the fay are not always comfortable folk, though they are certainly interesting. So a glint of mischieviousness? I see it as well. I rather expect it!
I love the playfulness and the brilliant blues and greens in this illustration. Since those are my favorite colors, I could gaze on that ill. for hours. Beautiful and intriguing stories could come with it.
