The silent film feel is wonderful! Love the text and flourishes in between the pics. I hadn't seen that Russian tale with the sleeping princess and prince (Ivan?) on the bird's back - I love it! Who is that by?
By the way - when you click on 'view all images' you can see them in color and with the text below but what's showing on the blog works much better (IMHO). :)
I absolutely loved the video. It definitely made me think of all stories I read in the Fairy Tales class that I am taking. What I have learned about this video, that I just watched, was all the princess videos I watched growing up do not resemble to the true fairy tale stories that I have read so far. All fairy tales are not a happily ever after ending. It is hard to change the image of fairy tales now because the Disney princess movies have already been made. We really cannot change the movies and also I believe it would be hard to crush a little girls heart due to the fact that fairy tales do not end in a happily ever after and all princesses are not beautiful, smart, and nice and prince charming is not the man we think he is. This short video helped me realize that everyone should know the truth about fairy tales, but in the end we still want the happily ever after, the princess and prince charming right? Also, the picture in the end of the video of Cecelia and Matt is absolutely beautiful!
